Song Lyrics: “Lights”
“I wrote the song ‘Lights’ about how we can cheer for those we love and put their names up in the lights of our hearts and lives,” writes David Willersdorf. “It’s a bright, upbeat and cheerful song, and I love singing it live.”
“I worked with filmmakers Luke Evans and Sinead Lau-Evans for the video clip for ‘Lights’ which saw them create time lapse, animation and even a puppet version of me for the clip. It really encapsulated the idea of the song.”
Lights
Intro:
Ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, oh
Verse 1:
I’ve walked a million miles, knocked on three billion doors
To see your name in lights, to see your name in lights
Verse 2:
I heard about this girl, whose heart could fill the world
She danced upon the heights and now her name’s in lights
Pre-Chorus:
Ohh… Ohh…
Chorus:
We’ll leap about and pretend that we’re starlight
We’ll leap about and we’ll dance like our name’s in lights, Ohh
You be the sunshine, I’ll be the moonlight
We’ll leap for love and we’ll dance like our name’s in lights
Ohh
Verse 3:
We leapt from hills mundane and dived in oceans deep
We sprung from mountain heights and now our name’s in lights
