You can now download all of David Willersdorf’s album projects

We’ve just made all of David Willersdorf’s albums available through his online store, including his first album, Freedom’s Pages, his live EP Glorious and his collaborative single for Compassion Australia, Way of the Lord.

“Freedom’s Pages was my very first solo album,” says David. “Although I’d had songs recorded by other artists prior to this album and I’d recorded a project or two with a band here and there, this was my first solo release. The album was produced by Craig Ross and my songs were sung by a number of great Australian singers.”

Freedom’s Pages saw David joined by Steve Apirana, Diana Holt, Lisa Reynolds, Eric Ossebaar, Steve Larmar and Liana Todd. The songs include favourites such as Always in You, Grace and Mercy, Found it All and Let Your Presence Fall.

Glorious was David’s followup album and took the form of a Live EP project for David and his then Sydney band.

“I’d been presenting some gospel music nights each month with my “And Friends” band in Crows Nest, Sydney. At one stage we thought we’d record some of the favourite songs as a live EP at Takenote Studios up in the Blue Mountains. We crammed into a large room together and simply recorded everything live, with engineer Bruce Wheatley adding a keyboard part of his own afterwards on the title track,” remembers David.

Glorious features five of David’s songs, including more gospel favourites such as Lift My Eyes, Glorious and gospel blues song I Will Obey.

In 2014, David had the thrill of recording and releasing his song Way of the Lord as a special single for Compassion Australia. The song featured David Willersdorf on lead vocals and piano, and also Steve Grace, Peter Shurley, Steve Apirana, Melbourne Gospel Choir’s Judd Field, Paul Colman Trio’s Phil Gaudion, Scott Ezzy, Compliments of Gus’ Jared Haschek and Ben Clarke and a '“thumping brass section”. All proceeds of the song’s downloads and purchases continue to go to Compassion Australia.

These previous music releases are now available for downloading alongside David’s other album projects including The Sound of Heaven, Fire This Love and his latest album release Outside the Inside. They can all be downloaded via the davidwillersdorf.com store.
